My great grandfather was captured by the Germans at St Quinten. Obviously the map St Quinten Scar is based on this.

#18 is incorrect. Mustard gas burns off skin tissues and is not releived via gas mask. Chlorine gas, on the other hand, is a gas that makes you cough blood and spit up lungs until you're death. So if a gas mask in BF1 saves you from the gas, then in BF1 they use chlorine gas. Not mustard gas.

emm, one of the main things that prob drove dice to make this game, was the fact the all new games at the time were futuristic, but whatever nonsense you said ill go with it because whatever.

Funny we can deny the fact black soldiers did fight in ww1 but make it a fact women did not. Yet we always forget the bigoted history as to why this was fact. Angry white men like the ones who play BF1 didn't want women or POC to fight. Thats it. There is no cowardice as to why the oppresed weren't allowed to fight, just bigotry.

I am very glad you were given the chance to play as a German and Austro-Hungarian. So unlike COD, its not just "Germans are bad" it is instead "we are all humans fighting for our counties and lives" and that is true heroism.

Don't list Sci Fi games to compare to a historical based game when it comes to who actually fought in the war. And besides, in the Russian civil war, sometimes you spawn as a female sniper on one of the Russian factions.

I remember during the campaign my task was to make it out of the enemy trench alive and to return to friendly lines, when I was doing so I found a German soldier talking to one of his comrades of how he wanted to write a book about a dog that travels across Europe after losing his master. And after over–hearing this, I didn't feel that I should kill them, and let them live their digital lives in peace, but I had no choice and had to pull the trigger when I was spotted. I just appreciate the fact that DICE added humanity to these 'people'.
Also before I end the comment, Happy rememberance day!

9:00 yet people still think bfv's inclusion of women is a political stance. For some scumbags it's true (Patty Soderland), but clearly it was already a decision in the game before it. And there concern for women in bf1 has clearly been proven to be worthy for concern.

  • Walter Clements
    Posted May 14, 2020 1:08 am

9:22 they wouldnt take it serious because BF1 is a historical game, not a fictional one. halo and those other games you mentioned are fiction so women could be in it with no backlash
